For young people aged 10½ to 14
Scouts take on real expeditions, camps and challenges that build skills, teamwork and independence. It's where young people lead, problem-solve and push themselves, with plenty of adventure along the way.
Scouts meet in packs across North Swindon. Use Find Your Section to see local options near you.
Find your section →Scouts wear a teal Scout shirt and a Group scarf (necker). We can advise on where to buy new or second-hand and what's needed to start.
Subscriptions are typically £3 to 5 per week, covering weekly meetings, activities and insurance. Camps, expeditions and events cost extra. Confidential financial support is available.
Scouts camp regularly outdoors and take part in district camps, expeditions and an annual summer camp. All activities are risk-assessed and appropriately led.
Everyone is welcome. Tell us what would help your young person take part fully and we'll talk it through confidentially.
Every young person is welcome at Scouts. See our inclusion and support page, or talk to us in confidence.
Teamwork, leadership, resilience, outdoor and first-aid skills, cooking and much more, while working towards badges and awards and having fun with friends.
Safety is our top priority. All adult volunteers are DBS checked and safeguarding-trained, and every activity is risk-assessed.
